SNOWWW!!!

US: Precipitation Forecast

Yeah.  That's the forecast for the next 48 hours.  Notice the little bean-shaped portion of green amid ALL THAT SNOW?  That's us.  Stupid valley.  I want 6-12 inches of snow!  Not rain.  Boooooo.

Since we don't have a baby....

Fun clip of Boo chasing Kevin.  Boo gets so upset when we run from him because he can't get any traction to catch up with us.  This was right after we'd moved into our house (that explains all the boxes).  Someday in the future I'll post a video of us doing the same thing with our child, as we run from them and scar them for life.

THE BATHROOMS ARE DONE!!!

Finally!!! Only three weeks behind schedule, but at least they are finished. It's so nice to be back in a clean home (we cleaned all day last Saturday since there were inches of drywall dust on every surface in our house). What do you think? We love them!

More bathroom pics...

So yeah... they're not going to be done by Thursday. BUT... they have at least promised to get one of our bathrooms finished so that we can move back into our house and sleep in OUR BED on Thursday night. YAY. I have never been more excited about being in my house... I am so homesick, yet I only 15 minutes away.

Anyways, here are some pictures.

And Kevin is applying for a promotion again at work. His interview is tomorrow at 2pm. I pray that he gets it! You should too!

I'm gonna throw a party for my car.

It made it! I never thought it would survive to see the day.

This spinach and feta salad is delicious.

Just taking a break from cleaning up around this pig-sty we call a home to post on our poor little neglected blog. We're having James and Gabby (check out her photography, she's awesome - http://www.gabbydaltonphotography.blogspot.com/) over tomorrow night for dinner and a rousing game of Settlers of Catan, our new board game obsession. We've even been accused of only having people over so that we can play the game... which could have some truth to it, considering the game is only for 3-4 players, but whatever.

We got Boo one of those new plush toys with no stuffing in them. It's a little skunk, and we call it his Stinky. I don't know if I can ever do it justice, to try to describe in words, just how much he loves this thing. I mean, when we first gave it to him, he ran around the house and shook it like a ragdoll for at least an hour. Then, when he was totally exhausted and panting, he discovered it had a squeaker. You would have thought he died and went to doggie heaven. It's been bliss ever since... except for at night, when Stinky has to stay outside our bedroom so Kevin and I can get some sleep.

We're also one step closer to getting our bathrooms renovated. We've got one more contractor coming on Tuesday to give an estimate, and then we'll make our decision and get the work started. I cannot wait to take a shower in the morning and actually feel like I'm in this decade!

All right, back to cleaning... little tumbleweeds of dog hair are blowing across the floor... thank you, Lord, for the Swiffer.

Home sweet home!

I am so happy that we made it home from Nashville this year without a car wreck to end our trip! Yay! Praise the Lord!

I've decided I want a white upright piano. I miss playing around on it and having a house filled with pretty music. There are multiple occasions coming up for someone to give one to me (2-year anniversary, birthday, Columbus Day, etc). It doesn't have to be new or anything fancy, just in working condition (needing paint or a tune up is okay).

Anyone.... anyone??

ÜþЪ┬Σ

Hello, everyone! It's been a while since we've posted, so we wanted to give an update on what's been happening in the last few weeks here at the Harris household.

Kevin and I are drawing near the end of our church's Equipped class, which is a training class for future care group leaders. We'll find out soon if we're going to be leading one, which, either way, we are SO thankful for the opportunity to go through the class and be exposed to such rich material and relationships with other couples. We can truly say it's been a joy and a blessing, as well as humbling and challenging.

Work is going well for both of us. Kevin is coming up on his year anniversary at Clayton, so he's looking to end his time in collections on a high note and apply to promote out. Be praying for him over these next few crucial months, that he would hit his goals and that a job would open up for him in a department in which he's interested. I am still selling those repos (shameless plug: http://www.mobilehomesexpress.com/) and still loving my job. I recently got back from a trip out to California and loved every minute of it (except for the red-eye flight back home, which was the most miserable 5 hours of my life). I was hoping to get to spend some time with my dear friend Megan, but she had some scheduling issues come up and couldn't see me, so I spent my free time at the Burbank IKEA. Oh, how I love thee, IKEA.

We're also planning on renovating our bathrooms in the next few weeks. We were going to apply for DIY Network's "Run My Renovation" show, but we changed our minds once we found out the filming wasn't going to be until at least October. We can't stand to use our hardly-functional, ever-crumbling, disco-loving bathrooms for that long!! We've got 5 contractors coming over in the next 2 weeks to give us estimates, and then it will be time to get things started! I'll be sure to post before, during, and after pics on here.

We'll be spending 4th of July weekend with Kevin's parents. We're looking forward to seeing them and having Boo play with their massive puppy, Tux. Hopefully it won't get too chaotic.
